Food for Thought

The recent Cheshire Cat ride has come in for some criticism for not providing food at the finish of the event. Any athlete will tell you that after any major exercise one of the first priorities in order to aid recovery is to get some quality nutrition down as soon as possible after finishing, and as a triathlete I am used to seeing quite a large spread of food available at the end of the longer half-ironman distance races – often in the shape of cheap junk calories, but sustenance nevertheless. However, the cost of entry to a triathlon compared to a sportive is typically at least twice as much, if not many times as much for the long distance races. Their is obviously a cost to providing food, so I thought I’d set up a little questionnaire to canvas opinion and hopefully provide organisers with a view from their customers.

Please take a few moments to fill in the questionnaire and tell your mates to fill it in too. It’ll need quite a few completions for any result to be of any value.
