Why “Irontwit?”

One of my favourite web tools is the microblogging/social network platform “Twitter“. A message sent via Twitter is known as a “Tweet”, and the sender of the message is variously a “Tweeter”, or better, a “Twit”. You’ve also got to be a bit of a twit to sign up for anything quite as mad as an Ironman. Hence “Irontwit”.

Hi John,

Good to have a brief natter during this mornings’ commute – we were lucky with the traffic.

Best of luck for the ‘Cat, FW and IMBolton (IMUK).

Do consider the Sunday Ride option we discsussed – you’ll probably be (pleasantly) surprised…
